Frequently older people need a little assistance with light house work and someone to run errands to maintain their independence and remain in their home. To assist these people, SEKRS is now providing Homemaker Services to the public.
Available Services
Homemaker Services provides assistance to individuals having difficulty performing one or more of the following activities of daily living,
- Preparing meals
- Shopping for personal items
- Managing money
- Using the telephone
- Doing light housework, and
- Laundry

Light Housekeeping Duties Include
- Changing linens
- Emptying trash
- Vacuuming
- Mopping the floor
- Dusting
- Cleaning the bathroom
Customer Responsibilities
- Homemaker Service is provided as scheduled unless other arrangements have been made.
- Please do not ask the provider to do more than light housework.
- SEKRS does not provide supplies, so the customer should provide cleaning and personal care supplies to be used by the provider.
- The customer will review and sign a time sheet for the provider. The customer is expected to monitor time sheets closely, because these are the basis of billing and must be accurate.
- It is against SEKRS policy to pay our employees privately.
- Please notify SEKRS if an employee's performance does not meet your expectations.
Billing and Payments
- SEKRS will mail invoices for care provided. All invoices are generated the month the service is rendered.
- Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check or money order.
- Payments should be made within 30 dyas of invoice date. If the balance is not paid within 90 days, services will be terminated. If unable to pay in full, clients should contact the office to arrange a payment plan.
